Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

I never in a million years would I have ever guessed that my favorite vegetable of all time would end up being a brussel sprout. But, that is exactly what it is. I would choose them hands down over all others any day of the week. So here’s my simple recipe for how to make them!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

1 lb. of brussel sprouts

2 tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup honey

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Wash brussels well and cut them long ways to keep the stem intact and they don’t fall apart. Place into a mixing bowl.

  3. Coat brussels with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Place into a baking sheet in a single layer.

  4. Roast Brussels for 20-25 min or until they are starting to brown around the outside But you still want the brussels kind of crunchy not mushy. So don’t over roast.

  5. Make balsamic glaze by mixing together the vinegar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and allow to thicken. You will have to stir frequently to prevent the sugar from burning. You want to reduce the mixture so that is will thicken into the glaze. It should take about 7-8 minutes. Leave in warm pa but set aside.

  6. Once brussels are done roasting place them back into a mixing bowl and coat with evenly with the balsamic glaze. Serve immediately!
